Can't have your cake and eat it. You wanted a wild risky driver and so you get the down time associated with the risks.Jac_ek wrote:I thing he will be back (with help from above ) at first European GP at 8 may that was be a miracle - but its possible
This somewhat comes of as cannibalistic behavior in the world of F1 drivers. Heidfeld's gonna want Kubica to take as much time as he needs to recover."the first news was that I saw on the internet that Robert had an accident in Italy last Sunday,” the German is quoted as saying by the official F1 website. “First the talk was that he had injured his leg. The first thought of course was that I hoped that it is not too bad. The second thought then was probably I could step in for him.
“I was locked into the internet to find out what was going on and the real unhappy aspect was that if it is worse for him it could be better for me - that’s a very oppressive feeling. You don’t want anything bad for someone. On the other hand, it can mean a real chance for yourself.
I think thats normal after a long operation. There are reports from the doctors beforehand saying he will go back into ICU after the op.forty-two wrote:Looks like surgery over the weekend has caused Robert to take a step backwards. He is apparently back in ICU:

It was also nice to see the Top Gear chaps wishing Robert well last night.
This was initially announced by TVN24, a polish news network. Apparently, it was just a huge misinterpretation of a certain person's statement. In the wake of their "sensational publication", TVN24's crew was asked by the doctors to leave the hospital on the account of spreading false information.andrew wrote:Yes, Top Gear managed to go a whole hour without offending a nation or being racist. They must have been unwell!
Doctors are denying that his condition has gotten worse it seems:

Kubica's gonna kick ass for The Lord!
These days nobody in the right mind would allow him back in... NEAR a car in similar condition!marcush. wrote:01.08.1976 Niki Lauda was suffering almost deadly injuries in his famous Nurburgring fire accident affecting his respiration system and the doctors said on the day that only after 10 to 14 days one could say if Lauda was going to survive.yet he was in the car 42days later to bag P4 in Monza.
Kubica seems to be one determined guy.
Lauda had to pass a fitness check before Ferrari even let him near the car ! They feared to lose the title battle with him sitting in the car but were ok losing with him in hospital.Pandamasque wrote:These days nobody in the right mind would allow him back in... Well, he is very religious unless I'm mistaken. I'm not sure about current helmet, but the one he wore when he crashed in Canada, had written name of pope John Paul II (Jan Pawel II)Shrieker wrote:gridwalker wrote:Stand back lads, this calls for divine intervention : http://print.dailymirror.lk/sports/108- ... 35631.html

Surely, you can't be serious.
