What do you think of the prospect of a USGP 2012 at Austin Texas

Good thinking. Place has good infra structure and nice climate in winter.

Not good as it has no motor sport tradition in the US.

Now, the important stuff: Any idea how much and what type of beer will be at the GP? Can you bring your own?

Don't know what will be available, but you can't bring your own. I do know Budweiser will be the major (or only) alcohol vendor.

We used to be able to bring in coolers to the race at Indy. Ahh, if Budweiser will be the major then I expect Bud Heavy/Light and maybe Mich Ultra. Just hope they aren't over $5. Things might get expensive.

We just got the USGP Paddock Club event schedule...with Historics in the lineup. Saturday schedule is fixed, too:

He probably lost his voice from crying:"Its all a scam, nothing but scam"
He was once right with USF1 but CoTA turned out against his expectations.

I wonder if our tickets will be delivered by mail (Holland-Europe) :?:

When I orded my tickets I received a mail that they would be mailed to billing address (around 15th of OCT)
But a week ago I received a mail that tickets could be picket up in Downtown Austin??

I find it very strange.

About the seats, does anybody found a map where you can find purchase seats?
We have seats on row 18 , section T11W5. I we do not have any idea what to expect.

Is there a map on the website? I got an email saying the tickets would be mailed out on the 22nd of October. So if you had yours mailed (you set that up when you ordered them) then I would expect you to have them today or early next week.

Here's a map that will help you with location of you grandstand, but it doesn't show sections. Hope it helps. You should be able to see the cars from about half-way between 9 & 10 until they turn left at 12. That's actually quite a long way:

...and Alexander Rossi will be at the wheel of the Caterham during Friday Practice:

http://blog.roadandtrack.com/americans- ... ad-racing/

ETA: In 2 tweets to me just now, Alexander Rossi says a USGP announcement indicated in the Road & Track story never happened, that the article is untrue, and that he never submitted such a quote. More info as we get it.
@AlexanderRossi: @Austin_F1 I do not know where this information has come from, but as there has been no announcement, please remove this from the press ASAP

@AlexanderRossi: @Austin_F1 I also have not submitted or approved that quote and do not know where this false information has come from. Thank you.
@Austin_F1: @AlexanderRossi It's not from us. It's from Road & Track Mag's blog. bit.ly/VBeqS2 I have no way to remove that.
