Sam Michael mentioned on the Sky F1 show that there was new part on the floor and break ducts too.
Id guess towards the rear.
Something that I don't think anyone has picked up on yet. There has been a small change to the rear wing endplates, the strakes are now cut at an angle to the floor rather than parallelOwen.C93 wrote:And diffuser looks like Silverstone spec.

We should remember that the cars aren't exactly the same, Mclaren tweeted that different parts would be rolled out on cars at different times. They'll be identical tomorrow though with all upgrades that work on the carJust_a_fan wrote:On Formula1.com they have a picture of a new diffuser on the McLaren. It has curved instersections between the diffuser ceiling and the diffuser fences in much the same way as the RB8 does.
The undercut is bigger at the front. The sidepod is more swept back so they had to cut the body panel different, that gives an illusion that the undercut is smaller. But in fact you can actually see more floor at the front now.turbof1 wrote:Interesting they reduced the undercut at the front and increased at the back of the sidepod. Perhaps air traveling under the front undercut was not that effective at keep airflow attached to the bodywork to travel around the sidepod to the back?

Ah.. FINALLY they have the slotted gurney curving over the corners. It took them too long to implement this in my opinion.morefirejules08 wrote:this one?Just_a_fan wrote:On Formula1.com they have a picture of a new diffuser on the McLaren. Yeah it most certainly is... no red on the McLaren rear wing except for the number on the end plates and their end plates only have 3 of the "chines" on them.amouzouris wrote:im pretty sure this is the ferrari one
Yeah they often make mistakes.morefirejules08 wrote:Its marked up on the F1 website and sutton images as the McLaren diffuser which appears to be wrong
It was picked up on early in the thread. The also took of the gurney tab on the edge of the diffuser in Silverstone so I imagine this is just a step further from that.Jackles-UK wrote:Something that I don't think anyone has picked up on yet. I have already seem people quoting pictures from f1.com but with bigger resolution and without Sutton's mark, does nobody know how can I access this particular photo on better resolution? or is it not allowed for free?morefirejules08 wrote:this one?Just_a_fan wrote:On Formula1.com they have a picture of a new diffuser on the McLaren.
