The yellow cover is going into the intercooler is how i interpret it.

Looks like there is a "equal length runner" set up after the plenum despite only one runner being visible? Is the only way that plenum location would make sense to me. :?:
And look at the diameter of the runner. It must be only one runner we are seeing. The other five are tucked under.

So the turbo shaft 'drive' to/from MGU-H is through the compressor outlet (right through a 90 degree outlet bend.

Is the MGU-H encased in the piping to the compressor to seal it all off or is there a gap through which air would be sucked in? I assume that wouldn't be an ideal solution.
