Welcome, Letouze!
A little infographic about the race:
It's interesting to see how the situation is still messed up: top lift values are not concentrated on the podium, only CAEdevice managed to get 100% of the power (closely followed only by HP), and CoPs are still waaay out of the ideal value (during the last KVRC almost all the entries had values close to the ideal one).
So, I feel like we should have started with a non awarding point race to test the new software. On the other hand, the championship will be funnier because of this very same reason.
On my side, I experienced a severe loss of performance in comparison with the OCCFD software; about 20% downforce loss, mostly focused on the rear axle (minus 28% there...). Rear losses are probably due to near wall mesh improvements, which enhance boudary layer growth and consequent chain reactions. My very aggressive rear wing didn't help by that point of view.
In general, I have to say that I'm mostly scared by JJR, who has already a very good car (it doesn't even look like it was designed for high downforce. Instead, it produces more than anyone else... And has a the highest efficiency too. And it's even perfectly balanced). It only needs some more cooling.
CAEdevice has a very good car too, but lacks some front downforce. Increasing front downforce without decreasing cooling performance could be quite challenging.
A pity for SHM Racing, whose car seemed to be a very, very good start. Weird numbers...
