George was right there they should have stayed where they were
Carlos only ever got close to Lewis because George didn't let Lewis by in the first place when asked.
During the time George was discussing with the team Carlos was right up the back of Lewis.
There was no way Russell could've kept both Ham and Sainz behind, so all it sis was give Carlos free time to the back of Lewis without using his tyres.
It only became a strategy they'd have had to do because George wasn't compliant straight away.
If anything, George just backed Ham into Sainz and Sainz being faster would've been past Lewis and up the road if George wasn't forced to listen to the team.
Nah. As we saw Hamilton wasn't fast enough to pass George and it would have just ended in a DRS train.
George didn't even have the traction to use the DRS Lewis gave him to fight Sainz. How do you assume he was going to be able to keep Lewis and a faster Sainz behind?
Either Sainz would get Lewis on traction elsewhere and then get George, or Lewis would get George and then Sainz would get George, which isnwhat happened.
