Which Lotus is against them using the name? Hasnt F1T been through all this about the new Lotus & Proton? Lotus the car manufacturer is who you are saying are unhappy with the use of the name?

Im gonna say that Tony Fernandes looks as if hes gonna have Richard Branson as a Air Hostess on his airline, just by picture comparison of how fast they look. And the Lotus isnt gonna disolve on the race track as easily.
They could well have the same problems as Virgin, since they are both designs from a blank sheet of paper, built by newly formed teams.

Not sure about the livery, it looks flat and lifeless. Did they not have any extra shine polish available?
I'm sincerely clueless what either of you are on about. I love this "Lotus look" The Livery is very nostalgic looking.

What is the third exhaust coming out of the backside of the airbox? And does it work with the yellow lump hanging under the rear wing? Something new to me.

The front wing is interesting or at least complicated. I don't see a moving element on it.

And I dare say well fastened!

It's a beautiful challenger IMO!
I'm stopping short of saying it will be fast, or in any way competative!

Apart from very interesting and unique diffuser, rest of the car is Lego.

"Proton", "Lotus racing", new logo??? Now that's a way to rape Colin's heritage for the sake of profit.

whatever you all ppl may think, but to me, it's the simplest and very much of a pleasant livery. the race suits are just fantastic and eye-pleasing.....

calm and soothing

let's hope the new T127 will be agile enough to challenge the midfield straightaway [-o<

Car doesn't look well developed at all, and I reckon they'll be running midfield at best. But then again, can we really expect more from a team on such a tight budget??...

Despite that, the livery is simply amazing! Those yellow rims really make it stand out from the crowd - not nearly as bad looking as some would call it.

MG's latest has a beautiful livery to my mind, but am I all alone with the opinion that F1 needs a rule-change to get rid of those increasingly horrid frontwings?

Not only do they look disproportionate and outright non-engineerish with their tiny midsections, but they must also be xtremely susceptible to contact/curb damage? I know their intended purpose, but come on, this is ridicilous!

Lotus Cars. I think it was Marshall Pruett who confirmed this just recently. But there will be no official dispute or legal action since the name is property of Proton.

I live nearby and know people at Group Lotus. They are happy with and involved in the Team Lotus. It's a fantastic marketing oppertunity for a band that's growing again with the Evora recently released and a new Esprit on the way.

I've heard rumours of engineer rotation too between the 2.

That's all very nice when it matters money for the employees, but it is shameful heritage-wise. When Colin was building ground effect cars, Proton was making what, rice bags? They were founded a year after Colin died, and now they paint the car like his, use the name, and put their logo on it! [-X
