Fernando Alonso has won his first ever GP for Ferrari in front of their home fans, the tifosi. After starting from pole, he chased Button to retake first place after the pitstops. Button came home second with the second Ferrari finished in third place.

Simple. Hamilton is out.
I'm a Hamilton fan, and although I am seething over his retirement the battle between Alonso, Button and their pitcrews was fascinating. And its probably better for Hamilton that Alonso won than Button.
I was waiting for Martin Whitmarsh's "crash kid" comment again, this time for Hamilton. His mistake today was as silly as Sebastian's. The only difference was Lewis did not take out Massa. But that was not by merit. It was just good luck that Massa's tyre or the drive shaft did not get damaged.

Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best ..............................organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)
JET - after this year, I am not too keen on Ferrari anymore. More of a Massa fan.
The damage to Buttons car is on BBC 1 right now. Looks like the lower quarter to the left rear wing end plate. Couldn't make out the diffuser but the rear wing was very clear. Can any engineers confirm how much of a difference this would have made?
You may have thought it was a good race [well you are tifosi after all], but eobjectively it was very poor and didn't deliver the goods. My Expectations were realistic, I expected Alonso to at least attempt a pass, I expected to see how the different McLaren setups faired, etc. I think I'm TOTALLY in the right to say I was let down, if partly by chance [accident], but still let down I was. And that is my opinion based on facts and not trolling.

Not like tanks, it's just that the rear end is much tougher than the front. If a fragile front end hits a rear end it's predictable that the rear will hold together much better. Could be said for every car in similar situations IMO.

Careful now..... [-X
Nah, after Schumacher left, then they paid off Raikonnen and hired Alonso and then after Germany, I'm just disheartened with Ferrari.

A fifth and a ninth must be like a 1-2 for a die hard Mercedes fan these days, eh JET? But not to worry my man,
you will be in the winner's circle in Germany next year with that Ferrari-outfit!

Basically the Ferrari tanks took out the McLarens :p
(I'm just kidding, it was just racing incidents, accidents)

True. Wasn't Alonso kinda lucky he damaged Button's rear and his front was undamaged?
