Those cascades look streamlined in comparison to the older version.
It's definatley a case of the exhaust giving added DF points to the rear allowing them to bolt on more DF at the front.
If this all works, Mercedes could be podium contenders.

Updates that come in 14th stage of the Championship? Many teams have this after 2nd-3rd race. It is much to late. Still, I hope for best result from updates.

Im sure what NonNewtonic meant was that Mercedes-AMG was definitely not sitting on their hands and updates were in the pipeline. It's just that the updates took forever to come through.

Looking at the FP1 feed, they still seem to have the DDRS tubes at the rear.

The new FW looks like a logical evolution of the Lotus-like vertical flow conditioner that they tested at Magny Cours.

It seems they didn't use new cascades during all FP1. I couldn't see cascades at the end of the FP1 in Nico's car

That's exactly what I want to point out because I watched the whole practice and didn't notice them running them.

Nope.. all on the soft, no-one used the super-softs

The little "winglets" stacked up, or cascaded, on top of the front wing main element.. from either side of the endplates.
