Vettel got hit on the tred of tyre which is obviously much thicker. Hamilton was hit on the sidewall.

As said before he was alongside Hamilton who just cut over the front wing of his team mate. Racing incident is what this used to be called before keyboard warriors took over discussion boards on the internet.

Watched the incident a few times, Hamilton is as much to blame as Nico. Nico held his line, Hamilton shoot to the outside to slam the door and misjudged it.

Or taking the racing line, like he is meant to. It was a right to a left hander

I said it before and I'll say it again, clumsy driving by Rosberg which unfortunately worked out really well for him and really bad for Hamilton.

But I don't think a penalty was needed, it is still just a racing incident, even if it turned into a major advantage for him.

Your application of the rule is faulty. Its basically impossible to have a fair race with your interpretation. He was never significantly alongside on the inside, only on the outside, you cant apply that rule there, and no one ever does.

you might also want to remember that not so long ago the FIA stewards were asked to be more lenient in racing incidents, due to fans complaining. You can't have it both ways, it's as simple as that.

Nobody disagrees with that. So let me repeat it for you before being called a liar again for posting a video and a quote from the rules : Hamilton stayed on the racing line the entire time.

However: The racing line over the kerb that he choose left no space at all for a driver that was alongside of him. ROS could have given up, or HAM could have left just enough space and won the next corner. Instead, ROS decided to stay right there and HAM decided to close the door very hard. That combination lost Mercedes a 1-2 and it is the fault of both their drivers.

And in some ways I really enjoyed watching that since we might now have much more of a fight with Ricciardo at the end which is more exciting to watch than two Mercedes cars storming off into the distance =D>

Nico was NOT alongside him, it was all over well before the left hander. At the right hander at the end of the straight the rule is not applicable. You understand that right? You really dont seem to.

To pass on the outside you have to be actually past, not 3/4 of a car length behind.
