Williams FW38 Mercedes

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Contrary to what we were told the only image i could see of the new FW was in Massa's car.

In FP2 both cars are running old FWs.
Did it get damaged on Massa's offs?

Also, as far as i can tell, cars seem to have reverted to pre-season design on the beam wing knock off.

I have no idea what's going on right now...

Williams: punctures caused by a problem in the circle

...
"Technicians from Grove, however, have finally clarified the mystery: to determine the damage to the Pirelli tires (wholly innocent) would be a problem to look for: an air leak caused the deflation of the tire."

Confuse opposition ! I guess :)

On serious note : they were forced to change to an old floor (Massa's car) so they have to use an old nose and fw.

I'd say a video camera to record some diffuser or rear suspension movement during the lap (only to be used in test)

Bottas said that Massa had the new front wing in FP1, but the tyre failures broke it. So both cars will now have the old fw for the rest of the weekend.

I read on AMuS, that they are evaluating to see if the wing could be fixed. But if they can't we'll be back to square one.
