Haven't you heard Lewis "Vettel hit me, Vettel hit me" early in the race?
And many times this season we heard "report xxx to Charlie" from many drivers.

I don't think this is the end of the debacle. Ferrari wants 20s penalties for everyone, not 5s. They have a strong argument for it, but it's going to reflect badly on race control that the whole field would be shifted.

Q. (Stephane Barbé – L'Equipe) Can you comment a little bit on this penalty with the safety car? Did you see the car coming out of the pits? Did you hesitate to overtake it?

LH: No, when I came down the straight, I was accelerating, I didn't see the safety car coming out and then as I came round turn one, we know that obviously the safety car was out but I was able to push until the safety car two line, I think, and at that point I saw the safety car alongside me and I thought I was passed, so when I noticed it, he was already behind and so I continued.

Now he's lying. In the replay you can clearly see him slow down immdeiately and then take off and pass the SC.

This is interesting in the context of the crap he got into in Australia 09. I guess he is not lying to change a race result here, he just seems to be lying to protect an image. It would be interesting to compare the telemetry from the car to see what he did in relation to what he just said!

He should have known better, having already been punished in the past for lying!

@Just_a_fan: Any team in Ferrari's position would have acted the same. LH did something he shouldn't have, and really the stewards should have picked it up themselves. As they didn't seem to, Ferrari reported it. They would have had every right to do so even if their drivers were out of the race at that time. Funny how you have such a big problem with a team reporting a driver breaching the rules.

I missed the race and had to watch the recording.

Congratulations to the winner Sebastian Vettel. He drove a faultless race and reacted completely right when Hamilton caused that second corner incident. He kept his cool and left enough place. I'm glad nothing happened to his gearbox from this wheel rubbing with Hamilton and the touching of the wing.

Hamilton drove his usual race of aggression and was lucky to keep second place through this safety car mess because his team mate never managed to pass Kobayashi. But over all well done under the circumstances. He probably thought he could reach the SC line before the SC and got the punishment for the misjudgment.

Button was pathetic or his car was damaged. I cannot believe that he was not capable to pass Kobayashi.

Rubens did a good job to exploit the Williams and Cosworth updates. A shame that the Hulk lost his points in the last six laps.

Well done for Kubica and Sutil to bring in many points. Kubica was a bit disappointing after the good form the Renaults had.

Kamui Kobayashi clearly was man of the race with his fantastic defense against Hamilton and his overtaking moves on Alonso and Buemi. It reminded me of the overtakes of the Force Indias in Canada on Schumacher. If one driver has a severe tyre advantage or disadvantage these things happen.

Alonso was a bit pathetic. Sometimes bad things happen in motor racing and the SC was unlucky for him as for many others. To put on that bitching show that Ferrari and Alonso gave was totally over the top for me. When lady luck craps on you you can only keep a stiff upper lip and look forward to the next race.

Completely unbelievable fock up by Mercedes again with Schumacher's tyre stop. They should have left him out like Kobayashi. This could have been his chance to get P4 or P5. Instead they effed up again. Merc are completely out of shape. I hope they make a head to toe review and stop the rot. Poor Rosberg also had a race from hell. His brakes fell apart fter 20 laps and it was all over.

The Webber incident means that Red Bull will have better chances now with Vettel and Webber brought it all on himself. He ruined Kovalainen's race with that stunt, but I'm very glad he was unhurt in that spectacular back flip.

Race control did not cover themselves in glory with the timing of that safety car but that is racing. You have to take it as it is dished out.

The 5 s penalties were a bit strange. I wonder what the explanations will be. Probably the mass violation of that rule was seen as a sign that the rule is hard to obey but Ferrari was furious and so a token had to be offered to appease the horse whisperer in Maranello.

The race of Kobayshi was testimony that passing can be very hard but it can also occur if you run the right strategy.

Alonso should have concentrated more in his race rather than the incident. Considering the circumstances I would not call him pathetic though, just mad. How would you call LH then for crying over the radio "Vettel hit me!" and then apparently apologizing to SV? Was it the heat of the moment or was he trying to lay the blame on his opponent while he very well knew it was his fault?

The 5sec penalties they are strange indeed. I cannot see how the rule can be seen as hard to obey as so many other drivers did manage to obey it. I cannot see how the number of offenders has anything to do with the severity of the punishment either. If anything, one could argue that this ruling is highly unfair for Ferrari and all other drivers who did stick with the rules. It's really amazing how Ferrari always gets the bashing even when everyone else is at fault!!!

Not sure if I remember the incident correctly, but Lewis hit SV initially, then didn't SV go over LH's wing by doing his trademark move, cutting across too early due to an apparent lack of spatial awareness?

Anyone got a youtube video of that incident so I can make my memory less fuzzy?

Anyway, I don't like the way that Ferrari goes about its little games running to the stewards at every turn. They weren't even doing it in an attempt to better their position - they were just trying to ruin someone elses race. And that is just sad.
I don't understand why you're beeing so blind, maybe ferrari are complaining about LH because he ruined Alonso's race and maybe because they are both fighting for the top spot? If LH had raced normally ALonso would also passed the safety car and all this would be avoided, but no, LH braked to give momentum to keep Alonso behind and now he's lying with all his teeth.

i think you are not aware of the FIA delta time which flashes on the steering wheel
there is a precise count down time given on the wheel for each sector...so everyone should go by that speed only
Moreover they are driving fast and in between a race dont know where everyone around him are etc etc and a sudden SC comes and u really think he tried to slow down Alonso when there is SC with yellow flags?

Alonso's team-radio

"keep talking to charlie about Hamilton, it's the only thing you should keep doing the whole race"

got this from another forum
If true, this is really disturbing to hear such things from a driver :?
I heard a lot of people here cried foul when Vettel said somehting on the radio

But what about this??
Alonso [-X
I am ashamed to be a Ferrari fan now
Well look at their Website, look at what their drivers are saying

Hulkenburg kicked those tires pretty hard after his retirement.

I haven't seen a driver behave that childlike in a long time.

Not like racing shoes have much protection, I would be surprised if he isn't...
