You are right, it helped sucking more air ...so same can be applied here ...it is helping to suck air and accelerate its speed which would have slowed down due to high nose.raymondu999 wrote:To be honest the pelican noses remind me slightly of the bent nose of the W01 and the snowplough - and those purposes were to introduce a local low pressure right behind them, which helped suck more air in from under the nose.
