Like it or not the racing was the most interesting thing that the Monza audience could get. It ended up without crashes so all good. We should see more like this.

As a F1 fan it was great, as a Ferrari fan (with a bit of Leclerc bias) it was not that great. I think I've made my reason clear as to why I would be upset after our best combined result of the year.

There was more on the table.

calm down man... yes he was saving tires, sai wasn't despite having really no chance against RBR. it's a race, race till the end.

I get your point. This is how I see it. They have nothing to lose but also the team should always show that they trust both of the drivers. Otherwise you can still get to the situation that one driver may think that is getting shafted. Though I don’t think I can say that drivers have the full trust in the team.

Saving tyres whilst stuck behind his teammate in dirty air all whilst being the quicker driver?

You've lost an argument to yourself mate. Congrats

Don't mind Nico, he was having painful flashbacks.

As soon as sainz buckled under pressure (like when he was leading Silverstone last year) they should have let Charles by.

Otherwise told sainz to back off slightly when Leclerc was coming out of the pits. Charles wasted so much time behind sainz sadly.

Why would they do that?

Let them race.

Easiest way to get in front is to outqualify the other driver especially if your claim to fame is being the best qualifier on the grid.

That was absolutely clear.

What some people didn't realize is this

Image

Over 1s slower (lap 19) at the end of the first stint in a track with minimal deg and 2 real corners. Even winning a race in the next 2 years is gonna be extremely difficult.

This graph also shows really well that SAI's pace was pretty close to HAM's pace when he pitted despite HAM being on Hards.

This isn't something that drivers can do anything about. RB19 is another category.

Seconds lost in those few laps after Sainz lost P2, literal pain... Such an easy double podium was right there. :'(
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Ferrari pit wall lacks competence, terrible race implementation. #-o
