Ferrari F138

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

And if Sauber's sidepod design turns out to be a winner, Ferrari will surely be in prime position to emulate them. That's all speculation on my part though.

Looks great Andreas! The drawing has a lot more depth because of the colour.

Do you feel you can beat the Red Bulls, either to pole position or the race itself?

It could just be me or perspective playing tricks with my eyes but the RWEP Extensions on the left look different to the right. Did Massa have an accident of some kind today? Or is it just me thinking the left side looks different?

What's this I hear about F138s rear tires wasting away rather quickly. Just rumors at this point but you can't help but wonder.

It's the angle at which the photo was taken that plays with you (it happened once to me also in the first day). If you look close enough you can see the streaks on the left side as well. Anyway, I think it wouldn't make much sense to use asymetric RWEP since it would result in an unbalanced/uneven airflow that wouldn't lead to correct or useful results.

I think that was yesterday, today they managed the degration pretty good.

I was thinking it was probably just the angle but wasn't sure. I agree asymmetric isn't the most advantageous practice but for testing you never know although I suspect we'd see some Flo-Vis if this were the case.

Edit: now that I'm not mobile & on desktop I can see there's no difference.

The vertical strakes & sort of top cover over them. New part/s and nothing like it/them used on the grid.
