The AT had the legs on the MCL in the middle sector. Probably more DF on the car hence good traction out of the corner.

Fantastic result for McLaren! Not only did Carlos had a super race, Lando also managed to hold off Bottas all race long!

Great points in the bag! Increasing the lead to Racing Point, Renault and Ferrari on the constructors championship... Fantastic result!

Although Lando has more point than Carlos, so far Carlos has usually looked the better racer. With both cars up the sharp end and hopefully out of the 'squabble' in mid-midfield I watch with interest. So often Lando seems to lose a couple of places at the start and Carlos gain them, so..

On one hand the record of the MP4-4 will remain after that. However on the other hand I feel so mad that we were denied the win by the FIA deciding that easy red flag and then letting Gasly changing a million directions when Hamilton was told not to do that again back in 2010. Still I believe we will have that opportunity to gain that win hopefully next year with the Mercedes Engine.

Second podium of the year! Carlos finally gets to get on the podium!

It is very good to have this kind of pace, I know Monza is a specific track but it does seem like Renault didn't lose a lot with the ban of the engine modes. Bottas and Verstappen on other hand looked lost in traffic.

Was a clear red flag, correct decision. I'm not going to grudge Gasly for weaving when Carlos was out of DRS range.

Even with gasly’s changing of directions it wasn’t enough today, whether that be due to bad luck or whatever. McLaren are on the up and moving forwards just be pleased with that. Your comments after every race are so draining whether it be about Gasly’s weaving this week or ‘tracing points’ cheating! Let’s just focus on McLaren and their success!!

Back in 2010 Hamilton was forbidden to change a million directions to get out of TOW. Now Gasly was allowed to do that. Good result for P2 and P4 but victory was stolen from us today by the FIA. Delighted for the result but mad from what Gasly did.

Stop bleating. The incident in Malaysia was different; Hamilton had a car right under his rear wing so it was dangerous to keep chopping across the front wing of the car behind, Carlos was almost 2 seconds back at the point Gasly was trying to break the tow so there was no danger at all.

Gasly did luck into the victory with his strategy of starting on the hard tyres, running long and getting a free stop under the red flag but I’m happy for him - the way he was treated by Red Bull it’s nice to see him turn it around. McLaren were faultless throughout today though; double stack pit-stops both at 2.6s, both drivers running in the top three on genuine pace from lap one, a huge haul of points for both drivers and the team. All in all a fantastic day.

Well we might have another chance possibly in the Bahrain Second Circuit which is another speed circuit.

If we could have managed to get Giovinazzi quicker we might had a chance. He definately slowed us for 2 laps.

Yeah, that's gonna be a good race, there's some more parts coming at the end of this triple header too that may help with the low speed traction a little - it's what they were testing the previous race

That's good news, hopefully it works as intended as it's got to be their last chance to improve this ongoing weakness before the all new car for 2022.
