Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

on the more positive side: Ferraris look mighty fast this weekend. When Massa is fast than you know that car is working. I would go as far as predicting full first row for Ferrari with Massa on pole. That is, if weather stays as it is

When you have Anthony Davidson being utterly gobsmacked and saying it was definitely deliberate as Maldonado was no where near the racing line, then yeah count me in the 'it was deliberate' camp. I defended Maldonado after the last race, saying he was better than everyone was making out. But here we have another red mist moment from him on a weekend when he should have been in for a good result.

If he misjudged anything it was in actually hitting Perez rather than just chopping across his bow. But whatever perceived sleight Perez may have done, Maldonado should never be engaging in something like that at any track let alone Monaco. He has form, he was previously punished for the same offense, and yet he persists with that kind of behaviour. This isn't a driver seeking to battle it out on track with no holds barred, this is deliberately crashing into a competitor during a practice session because you didn't like the way they looked at you, or some such. I thought he should have faced a race ban the last time he did this. Any lesser punishment this time and the FIA will show just how weak they are given the history.

Edit: plus we did see the onboard from Perez's car and Maldonado cut across the front of him well before the corner.

Just reinforces my opinion. Can't see how that is anything other than deliberate.

Thanks Dave

Certainly looks deliberate to me...

Not to mention 7 years ago on this track his great and friendly driving also caused serious injury to a steward...
And in the Renault World Series he nearly kills a steward by ignoring red flags.

This guy drives like an idiot, and doesnt know the flag rules, he should have his license revoked.

Haha this made me laugh :P On a side note, you wouldn't think that Mr. Hamilton Snr. would be the most impartial of all after what happened in spa last year.

Watching the vid dave posted it looks as if PM turns in very early. The onboard from Perez's car looked alright to me IIRC (at least not intentional).

edit: Ok after watching that vid again and again, it looks increasingly likely to me that PM kinda tries to chop Perez's fw off. Naughty Pastor !!!

I've seriously no idea why he did what he did. Even if it were intentional, you'd think he'd chop off Perez' front wing.
If it weren't intentional... no seriously, what was he thinking?!?!?!?
