Hi Andre, I’m using new software on new simulations.

I’ll get the new software and see, but the equation needs to hold, it’s basic static balance.

Yes, but OF has incorrect front and rear downforce, so I now use Cm and then calculate front and rear.

Hi Andre, thank you I'll fix the formula.

Now I've re-run spa (exact same folder) with 9b and got different results:
19b:
Cd = 1.2161105
Cl = -1.3318518
19:
Cd = 1.093
Cl = -1.554

Anyone else seen this?

Nothing changed in the OF setup. Maybe you changed the rake angle or included the floor parts? You can send me the cases if you want.

No, I just used the folder I ran before cleaning it up for submission, with Richard's floor still in place and solver settings with pitch=-1 there too.

Well, there is for sure something different, nothing changed on the OF side in MFlow. So if you cannot find out what it is, you can send me both cases and I can check to make sure it is not some strange bug in MFlow.

In the meanwhile the MVRC Timing website is not working, is it due to implementing data for Japan already?

:oops: #-o

So I spent 3 weeks away on vacations and got back home. And every run after that was done on car coarse, since I am still conditioned to the old version that would go MVRC by default.

I'm redoing my last try to see what happens. Boy I was frustrated I couldn't do any headway...

One day to go... The race will be live at 13:00 CEST....

The video will be here:-

With the return of JJR, and Variante reverting to conventional sidepods will we see one of these guys triumph... has CAEdevice found something in his development plan, or will we see another newcomer taking the win?

Really nice modelling (and render)... but don't those sidepod inlets look a little small..?

Nice looking car, looks like 2017-18 front wings started to show up.

I wonder if in my case I will manage to rebalance the car until Japan submission (cooling should be already there).
For Singapore I hope for no surprises like ultra-stalling RW.

I must admit that fixing Spa-spec car was (and still is) bit of challenge.
