Fantastic first day of testing for Max and Red Bull. I am a simple person, I want to see Max domination until at least 2026. Hoping Newey magic strikes again, the car looked quite stable in the slow-speed corners with good front-end grip. But its early days, we will know more in 10 days, when the season really starts.
Yes, body language said it all.

Front end very positive and handling generally fine on harder tyres today

Perez in the RB all day today as a result in the afternoon session lengthened and morning session shortened. Tomorrow max will get afternoon (most likely)

Would've been unfair in terms of mileage otherwise

And I was trying to find what these huge shoulders on the engine cover remind me…

Ah there we go! Another Dutchman:

Full race sim from Perez. Times are slow IMO so probably messing with engine mode (hopefully  )

"Everything we put in the wind tunnel works amazingly on the track."

These words belong to Verstappen, who just spoke. In fact, he said it was Red Bull's strongest point.

Whatever they try in the wind tunnel works the same way on the track.

The balance of the RB20 is excellent so far.

Perez doesn't look amazing, but I don't know anything about the test program. Was it Frijns who said Perez might struggle? If Max is saying it's amazing...one would anticipate that Perez will struggle.

Perez is nearly always crap in testing. He just doesn't keep that top level constantly like better drivers on the grid.

He's just keeping RB20 safe from a TD :D

Pérez "It has been a step forward in a good direction. It is a complicated track to test. It changes constantly. In the morning we did aero work and in the afternoon we focused on understanding tires. Things are tighter than they seem. We focused on our program"

For the others it's hard to say they reached their maximum deltas since we don't know engine modes, but for RB we have a lower limit at least which suggest that they haven't lost anything in this regard despite the changes to the car. Promising.

It could even grow during race week when we know everything is turned up. I bet we'll see +28-29km/h during race week which is insane. Even at +28km/h, it is a significant improvement from the Rb19 due to the drag power scaling.

But can he do it on a hot humid night in Marina Bay?
