I am very sensitive when it comes to Buemi Alguesari. I think Buemi is faster in raw speed, but just extremely unlucky. Algu i think is just a bit more level headed. Very even as drivers, I would keep both - give a good car for '12 and then make the final decision.Trailer23 wrote:To me it is so diifficult to judge drivers by the teams they drive for.
Is it fair to judge Di Resta's pace with those of the current STR drivers? I mean the Force India is a fast car. Questions is, how Di Resta would be if he were a STR driver?
The same goes for Maldonado. He's had the bad luck of coming into the WilliamsF1 when they've had a really bad car throughout the season. Last season, Barrichello had scored 47 Championship points & this year he's had only 4 points. One has to raise the question, how well Maldonado would've been if he had been with WilliamsF1 last year OR how good Perez could have been had he off signed with Williams this year instaed of SauberF1? These are questions we should ask.
As for Daniel Ricciardo, the guy is semi-cursed for driving possibly the worst car on the grid, but then again, he should consider himself lucky that he even got a drive 'cause earlier in the year he was just meant for Free Practice drives.
Now as for comparing Buemi with Alguersuari, it is clear who is proving to be worth retaining in 2012. They both drive for the same team, hence its fair to compare. Buemi in my opinion should not be in the equation for 2012, so its pointless to talk about him for 2013. Only a miracle can keep him in F1 & that is if any of the lower teams may consider giving him a drive for next year.
Note: I Do Not rate Di Resta higher than Alguersuari by a long-shot.
3 years on top of the the first three? (up to 2015?)raymondu999 wrote:I actually just caught this. Whitmarsh actually revealed on the Red Button after India that Jenson was signed for 3 years:

Nah, three years will most likely include McLaren formally taking up their option for 2012.n smikle wrote:3 years on top of the the first three? (up to 2015?)
At Renault, Grosjean is indeed very likely to get signed. Kubica on the other hand is extremely unlikely to race in 2012. The conflicting reports are nothing more than his management trying to keep their Renault option open, but there is no way he'll be fit enough.Fil wrote:...
The latest feel from India seems to be that Renault's driver hierarchy currently stands as:
1.Kubica
2.Petrov
3.Grosjean
4.Senna
Sutil is extremely limited in his options. I doubt he'll be in F1 racing, unless he manages to buy his way into HRT with Medion. I don't see any other option for him.
Just a re hash of what Joe Saward posted last night: http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2011/11/ ... -in-qatar/Tyler wrote:Rumours are going around that Raikkonen will be confirmed to join Williams in 2012 at Abu Dhabi this year after securing a new major Quatari sponsor.

YES!!!!! =D>
Too many rumours now and noone's denying it, I'd say it's a sure thing!
Bring on 2012!
Does Petrov have a contract for next year? Marussia could be a good place to be next year.scuderiafan wrote:It will be interesting to see where Petrov and Senna land. Petrov has some evident promise as a driver, and Senna can scrape up points every once in a while. I wonder how Senna would've done earlier in the year. My feeling is that he'll get kicked from Renault and either become a full-time test/reserve driver, or find a seat in another Renault powered car.
Not being in F1 would be a better place for Petrov.WilliamsF1 wrote:Does Petrov have a contract for next year? Marussia could be a good place to be next year.
