They have a great race car. Hamilton getting the worse strategy because he was leading and they had to avoid the Leclerc undercut. congrats to George though. His race pace was great and to do a one stop was impressive.

The upgrades might have thrown them off balance and their "old" car perhaps secretly was one of the best here. Strategy played a part in it, but Merc was super fast today.

George drove brilliantly. That said, he was in that position because that was the only way he could get a result from the race.

Hamilton had to do a 2-stopper to cover everyone else. Mercedes should have let Hamilton through. On a different day, it could have cost them. Hamilton qualified well, made the moves but ended up behind. Not fair in my opinion.

I wouldn't be after losing out to my teammate behind while controlling the race for most of it

They got rid of the downgrades they ran on Friday. It's really bizarre how many teams are bringing updates and they actually go backwards. Perhaps the way to get the most of these cars at this stage is to fine tune the balance and not worry about adding downforce.
