Hope the correlation on the new floor is quite strong, Charles seems (relatively) excited about the 2024 car in the sim, obviously we know sim performance ≠ real life performance, but if the new floor works as expected I will be cautiously optimistic of an improvement next year. Most likely not back to race winning ways, but to a clear second place with a strong development plan.

yes I know.

And the FOM graphics just showed that Ferrari is better throughout S2 even through spoon.
Then explain the galatic difference through the esses?
Compare Ferrari against itself last year. Drivers are just not taking risks.

Ferrari won't be on pole and won't win, but it's not bad at all.
You don't think the raised floor edge and diffuser throat might have affected the high speed perfomance?

The F1-75 in the high speed was also comparabe to the RB18 high speed performance, which is not remotely the case for the SF-23

Losing too much time in S1 to RB/MCL. S2 looks really good, S3 is almost the same.

Looking few laps in. Doesn't look too bad with Leclerc, on long runs. Running medium. He is somewhere around 2-3 tenths slower than VER on prototype C2 tyres (mediums). Sainz few tenths off Leclerc. Also mediums
VER has new prototype tyre while LEC had 3 laps on it. VER deg is much better though, everyone else seemed slower than LEC.
Yup. Just as I submitted post, saw Leclerc starting to lose a bit more time than Verstappen :D but he recovered a bit. In general I think it looks good.
Test C2 has more grip than the one that will be used this weekend in the race though. Again, I don't dare of a race win, but a podium(maybe P2) would be very nice, especially on a track that theoretically should not suit us.

I don't think so, obviously possible though but I choose optimism.

FPs went better than expected, but usually the other teams make a big jump from Friday to Saturday so let's wait and see. Being close to podium pace would be really good considering the track.

In the first sector, we can really "appreciate" how limited the SF 23 really is. The speed that RB drivers can carry through the fast corners is really something.

Leclerc was slower in the first sector compared to his lap in FP3 last year. Maybe different fuel loads and conditions, but still.

This is crazy by the way. Unreal difference.

Very positive from Leclerc
We seem to be closer than expected to our rivals. We tried different solutions on my car to get a little better feeling in terms of balance, and I am satisfied with the results. We need to confirm on these levels tomorrow as well.

Probably, but i expected worse here as well, so who knows.

The SF 23 minimum speed in the snake is 8 kph down on the F1 75 (FP2 vs FP3). Even if the fuel loads are different, it highlights the lack of development over 1 year. For context Max is already quicker in the snake compared to last year.

According to some he tried different configurations (was it on fp1 or fp2? I forgot) that didn't work and reverted.

Comparison with Norris

We are slower than the McL in the snake. I still can't believe it.

On the other hand the SF 23 seems competitive in Spoon which i didn't expect at all.

For the long runs, how old were the mediums used by Sainz and Leclerc? Verstappen started with new T tyres, shouldnt that be considered while analyzing the race pace? I feel like Ferrari is a lot closer to Redbull than what the numbers say.

Curious though, Charles had the new floor in FP1, Carlos had the new floor in FP2. Looking at just the times, the car with the older floor was ahead in both practices.
