From a spanish journalist:

I don't know if this is going to happen. It is a rumor that has been talked about for not long. What I do know is that this is not the first time that Stroll has threatened to sell the team, and it is always after bad results. Those of today are not good ones, and they have a negative streak.
I can tell you that the last time he threatened to do it, as far as I know, was on Saturday night in the team box after the Saudi Arabia 2022 qualifying. They were... 18 and 19, I think
Technically I think they were 15 and 18, but the rest stays there.

That actually makes most sense... Not Alonso quitting or joining Red Bull...
Team Fernando!

Well if that is true and Stroll threatened with selling the team, it does not necessarily mean that it will happen, it could be a play of his own to remind them to do their job, or gain leverage, or another reason. Or it could happen and he sells the team of course.

Either it is already sold or he will wait until he is up the game again next year. Now is the worst time to sell this team.

If he sold it to the saudis, would it be a bad thing?

Forgive my inexperience in these matters, but according to this person someone just sold £250 million worth of shares in Lagonda

What if Stroll sold to Honda instead of the Saudis? Would Honda keep Alonso around?

I do strongly believe that Aramco is going to buy AM, but its important to understand that Lagonda and the F1 team are two completely independent entities that happen to have some shareholders in common.

The AM worth more than that! Also Aston Martin Lagonda is separate from the F1 team. Aston Martin Lagonda is not the F1 team. That's owned by another company AMR GP .

I think Geely have been building up a stake in the road car business, though that doesn't mean they've bought these shares here...

I didn't say they were? The posts above were about share sales in the road car company.

I've said this before but selling Aston Martin Shares isn't selling the team. AMR is just a name that comes from Aston Martin being the main Sponsor. The 2 are separate entities. As 2026 approaches and we switch to the Honda PU. The main Sponsor may become Honda, so Stroll may just be planning a name change, maybe even Honda Racing. What is certain is he is divesting himself of Aston Martin. If he's gonna change the name and AM have 2 more years on a Name Sponsorship, what's the point in keeping Aston Martin?

It seems that the person confused pence (GBX) with pounds (GBP). So that would be £2.5 million instead of £250 million. It looks like a false alarm.
