Red Bull had a nearly perfect weekend at Spain, ending the weekend with the best possible outcome despite some technical DRS gremlins for Max Verstappen. George Russell completed the podium as Charles Leclerc retired from the lead with engine problems.
Great race by Team RB!
need to sort reliability.
Jorge showing us why he is the future at MB.
When going gets tuff lewis quits... team has to hold him up like a hand puppet. time to bring more new blood.
It was so annoying to see that he doesn't want to fight. The team deserves a better driver in these difficult situations. Imaging what's happening in the factory with such an attitude.
When WDC is stolen from you because of "human error" and then you get a --- car to drive (when from inside you are burning to take revenge), it is bound to happen. Ask yourself if ever in your life you came across such situation and faired better than what Ham did till now. Absolute hypocrisy at display
What's the motivation for Perez to drive in that RBR when it's absolutely sure that he at best would finish second at the end of the season, despite doing well? He's shown some serious pace in this season and it's still early days, but still they focus 100% on Max.

Someone remind me why did Ferrari give Sainz a 2 year contract extension? He's been the worst driver so far this season another shocker today in that car
You gotta admit he must have been flustered after going off track and maybe his car had damage. But yeah his mistakes has cost the team so far. And come to think of it Leclerc's mistakes have cost them too.
Even then we don't know. Charles was like 10 seconds ahead of everyone else, but how much did Hamilton lose on the first lap, and how much did he close to the leaders before hitting trouble on the closing laps ? He maybe lost a minute or more on the opening lap alone. And then having to run a compromised strategy.. He had insane pace today.
I hope they can get back into the title fight and make it a three way.
ham was 53s behind VER on lap 3 and he was 40s behind before late engine troubles, but verstappen had his own adventures lets not forget. In a normal race I'd say hamilton's pace was probably somewhere close to max or pretty much equal, but wouldn't have enough for leclerc today.
Sad for LeClerc, but it kind of levels the reliability points delta a bit.
Sergio was always going to give way to Max. Next contract should add the line "When asked to give position to teammate, pay will be based upon that teammates position.
Driver of the day???
Jolyon Palmer
I am finding that I enjoy his elegant brutality, instant grasp of strategy and options, as well as his honest and pointed takes on teams, drivers and situations. His pairing with Will Buxton has a great chemistry and respect as well as a great banter. I only wish that Jolyon had the "skypad" type interface to control the picture-in-picture during the live stream. He simply has the best eye for the important action that I have seen.
F1TV has taken a surprise lead with their commentary team, and Jolyon is pulling a gap to the rest.
Driver of the Day.

If paid on points, Sergio is just fine compared to being unemployed.

He was almost jobless at the end of 2020 and RB gave him new lease of life. He underperformed last year because of which they lost constructors and kept trust in him. Only this year, he is doing the job. So it's fair that he owes a lot to the team and go with what the team wants.
