Mclaren Mercedes MP4-25

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Looks much closer in your pictures - which I would suspect to be more accurate than my alignment. With the cars not being quite the same angle it's easy to get it a little bit wrong.
yeah, i wasn't very careful, because we'll never get it right. Was just a fun way to compare them

watching the stream, the set seems set out so you can't get a pic of the diffuser what do you think?

It looks statically mounted, not going to spin round. But would expect them to cover it up a la Ferrari.

That McLaren has got to be the most stunning F1 car since the 1930's!!

=D> =D>

Maybe this is why Button jumped ship..?

I don't like McLaren,

But I love it!

It's great to see that we don't have a field full of RBR/Brawn clones, and that the designs are still so different.

Absolutely stunning. Obviously we've yet to see them on track but for me the exciting thing is that this car seems stuffed full of new ideas, whereas the Ferrari seemed to be a small refinement of last years ideas. Hopefully the McLaren has the greater potential.

Didn't they start 2009 with a similar exhaust exit and then ditched it for amore open exit for greater cooling, I can't imagine the end of those sidepods will stay like that for very long.

I wouldn't say its stunning, the new FW32 is the best looking car so far but it certianlly is an interesting car to look at and Mclaren have been putting the hours in!

Interesting that they still have rim shields on the insides of the front tyres.

160Kg fuel tank, so as expected it's on the smaller end.

Noticed this earlier, but forgot to mention it, but they've changed the front suspension to have an inline steering arm. They were one of the few not to do this last year (although they have in the past).
