it may not have translated to results so far, but to me Stroll looked like the "better" - or at least more comfortable - of the two drivers for basically the past three weekends. So I wouldn't think it's one specific part which may be on the car today or not.
Looks like Lance had the old floor edge on at least. Rosario Giuliana wrote yesterday that in Mexico the old floor with the new diffuser was used. That could be again what stroll used this weekend.diffuser wrote: ↑03 Nov 2023, 23:36I counld't find any great pics, the ones I did find, looked like the old config. Like I said, they weren't great pics.ALO_Power wrote: ↑03 Nov 2023, 21:34So, do we know the exact configuration regarding updates/parts used for Alonso and Stroll?
If they were running different spec cars, then what they ran on Stroll's car definitely worked.
Also, if that's the case, then it's much more positive than we think it is, cause Alonso is traditionally quite quicker than Stroll, so that could had put him in contention for more maybe?
How many times havento tell, that they use different parts, setup?
To me it looks like they both ran Strolls FP1 setup in quali.OnEcRiTiCaL wrote: ↑04 Nov 2023, 08:44OnEcRiTiCaL wrote: ↑04 Nov 2023, 08:43How many times have to tell, that they use different parts, setup?
Who was? Pretty hard to comment on that without knowing what was said.
Floor looks to be the same in both indeed. De la Rosa said in FP1 there were small differences between Stroll and Alonso's cars in order to test but it's likely they are the same from qualy onwards, which is interesting because Stroll was 2-4 tenths faster every lap. In any case great result from both, finally!
Everybody killed the tyres not just Aston. Top10 will be possible, but max P8. 2 Redbull, Ferrari, Mercedes looking fast.
