Interesting. What's the lowest grid position LH has won from?
LH has more poles but fewer Ws compared to MSc.

14th. LH has a much higher W percentage than MS, give it 70 more races and we'll see where things wind up. Depending on what happens in the first couple of laps and where the temperature winds up, I think it's anyone's race from the top 4 spots.

Also LH hasn't been black flagged and banned from an entire championship of points and isn't a pariah like Schumacher in sportsmanship. Not all records are measured by points.

Maybe it depends on your definition of radiator. A heat sink could be considered a "radiator" so perhaps it isn't quite that extreme.

I think we had a discussion somewhere else about whether they could use the Meredith effect, but I forget the analysis.

yes it's probably an engineer giving the media guy some wow factor isn't it, but it probably is basically a true message that it's quite a lot of radiators. You'd think the Meredith effect would steer them towards one or two big radiators, in principle, but they must only add 30 degrees or something to the air temperature compared to 1000 for an actual jet engine, so i'm guessing they wouldn't sacrifice other factors for it like drag or lift. still, if it was free...

anyway we have a nice engineering contest coming up, on top of the driving, and Ferrari seem to be in good shape, felicitazioni

It will last until they bring refueling back, or change the pits road layout so that they lose less time going in and out.

Your both points are correct, but during 2016 we had tires that allowed multiple strategies to be competitive. Even 3-stop.
Today only 2 viable strategies are 1-stop and no stop which is (unfortunately) forbidden.

Ferrari is at least 6km/h faster in every speed trap than Merc and RB :

Here at this type of circuit, emphasise Ferrari`s strong areas and Merc`s weakest ones ...
- Long straights, high-speed and no slow corners
- Hi temps forcing Merc to both run with the most cooling setup and also with lower PU modes

It`ll be interesting to see if Leclerc would have or not some graining - for overheating them into the corners - in his stint on soft tyres, taking into account that this tyre has a low temp operation window but most of all the fact that in FP2 he didn`t do a race sim with a car on full tanks ...

In contrast, Merc and maybe RB opted to set up their cars for a 1 stop race knowing that the main race tyre will be the hard one, which is operating in these hot track conditions ...
