Ferrari F2012

Ferrari has decided to go for Pull-rod in front, so less drop this discussion and move on.
That is by no means your call and I believe that you should seriously consider your menbership if you think otherwise.

Besides, there are obviously other members than myself who consider said topic still interesting.
...and that´s your call?
The point being that it's fair enough to say "I'm not interested" and walk away, but it's not fine to say "I'm not interested, you can't have this discussion any more."
I think you should read back on the thread what I said, I never said you can't have this discussion any more.
I have an opinion as him and I shared.
He can always open a thread about this pull-rod topic. This is a ferrari f2012, they decided to stuck with pull-rod by now and i would like to discuss or read discussions about new parts and developments, or how they overcome this problem of pull-rod if there is any.

Ferrari have said today that they do not do development work in the simulator for Monaco. They say it's impossible to reproduce every detail so instead they use the simulator this week to confirm the track data from the Spanish GP.
We know Ferrari lack in simulation compared to McLaren for instance so I wonder if McLaren or maybe RB do development work in the sim for their Monaco packages.

Sauber Chief Designer Matt Morris:

The main challenge for setting up the car will be to optimise the mechanical grip

I think Monaco will be a good test for the F2012. We've seen with the updates that the F2012 can go good at Catalunya
which usually means it can be good at other tracks. Monaco is definitely special and mechanical grip is a premium. I expect a different FW & RW and am interested in seeing how our front pull rod suspension handles the steering lock at Loews Hairpin and Rascasse.

well it´s a dry break coupling -parker,maybe? for hydraulics -fuel .I´d guess this is one of the couplings to fill the fuel tank ,as quick refueling is not necessary anymore .

Sector times from the Spanish GP show the Ferrari was very quick this weekend. In sector 3 Fernando was 5th quickest in the race(couple of tenths off) and free practice had even less of a gap to the quickest. The point being Ferrari have indeed improved traction in low speed corners.

That is fantastic info there. Can't believe Lotus has yet to win. They may be the favorite in Monaco. Wonderful Ferrari seems to have worked out its low speed issues. Interesting Hami, who was supposedly on another planet in speed, is virtually no where to be found in the top 10 times listed there. I know he was back in the pack but he had plenty of times in no traffic.

Let's hope Alonso takes a second win in the principality. Forza Ferrari.

Lewis was on a 2 stop so you'd expect him not to top the times in the race.

Is there any way to access average sector times? Rather, is there any way to access every sector time from which averages can then be computed?

It's nice to see the F2012 was able to clock competitive times throughout all sectors in Spain, despite being off the pace with regard to top-speed. But, I'd like to see the whole picture, because snapshots such as this can be deceiving.

Not that I know of. Race data only provides best sector times & full lap analysis. Maybe another site has all of them but other than the teams own info, I doubt it.

I agree with Owen on Lewi's sector times. If he was on a 3 or 4 stopper then his sector times would mean more, but I don't think the sector times for the Spanish GP for him are really representative of the true pace of the McLaren in Montmelo. But is great to see one of the F2012's in the top 5 in all sectors. :))

Why did the team say that there would be no upgrades for Monaco?
And even in two weeks I think maybe the sidepod could slightly be updated.
