Is it enough though? It could have caused a serious accident considering the speed Ocon was coming.

They are trying to go to the end with those tires. Forget about pace, he isn't pushing at this point. 10th is the most they can get out of this race if no other shenanigans happen.

Im not sure the hard tyre is gonna hold. He is in a place that starts to lose time compared to those in the back. We need the full package that works with the new nose as soon as possible.

Albon isn't really going that fast, and the Haas behind isn't particularly fast on a straight. They have a chance for it, but he must keep the tire alive for the ending stages of the race. That's why he didn't go full on like Albon after overtaking the Williams. The team probably instructed him to slow down and look after the tires. They are committing to the 1 stop and if they get 10th, it's nothing amazing, but given how the race unfolded, it's half decent.

We are so unlucky though this year and I'm not sure if any other competitor had that much badluck. They definately didn't have one driver damaging the other one's race.

Let's see how this goes. There should be a following race where it suits our car

It’s a pity McLaren have lost the chance to gather comparison data on the new nose but least they haven’t lost the new parts

Lando done a good passing back marker so I think that’s a good sign that once the rest of the package has been optimised we should be in a good place going forward

The question is when is the rest of the package coming? We need it if we want to keep that 3rd position in the championship because it's clear that if we exclude Austria, Monza maybe one or two more races the Renault is faster than us. To be able to keep that position the new package must push us in front of Renault in terms of pace so we can do faster qualifying and starting in front of them as it's clear the car is performing better in front than in the back following someone.

We will have a battle with Albon soon and he has fresher tyres. I'm not sure we can hold him with the DRS.

It seems like Albon is going to get that last point. Very bad result coming from self-inflicted damage. --- happens. Onto the next one now, no point in dwelling over it.

I think we should have gone for quick softs during that Virtual VC and go full attack.

Not worth it, would have ended up near Raikkonen. No way in hell he could overtake 5 cars in <10 laps

Let's see if Norris can defend. He has nothing to lose and he can damage the tyres of his opponents.

Strange strategy for Lando today. Why to make tire management for 52 laps? To finish 11 or 12?
Was better to pit for fresh mediums or soft and full attack for 10 or 15 laps.
