Except that the lack of EBD in silverstone seriously skewed results.godlameroso wrote:The track most like Suzuka is Silverstone, they both have a lot of high speed sweepers, and some high speed decreasing radius corners. The teams that were fast there will be fast here.
ExactlyThe medium speed corners are second curve, the last right hander of the esses, degner 2, and the exit of spoon curve. Everything else is high speed except the hairpin and casio triangle. The esses require constant throttle modulation, so it will magnify the strengths and weaknesses of each respective ebd.

So those people just can't stop talking about Lewis Hamilton? Bring up his name in every thread like some type of victory horn? lol
You are the ones killing off the threads, because you know full well that Hamilton topics are extremely polarizing. Nothing exists in between. Not even a race thread like this one will survive more than 20 pages without putting "Hamilton" in it. (and 50 pages of horse crap here we come!!)
Damn. The thread quality is killed of all ready.
Back to Suzuka.
Looking out for those 31 families that Kobayashi invited to the race.
You realise MotoGP is currently halfway through their race weekend at Motegi?raymondu999 wrote:I don't think Suzuka is close enough for that. But didn't indycar just do a race at Motegi recently? Also isn't MotoGP boycotting the Japanese race?
Hamilton obviously agrees with meraymondu999 wrote:One thing I think a lot of people neglect is that this circuit isn't just about downforce; it's also about the driver. It's up there with Spa; Monaco; Hungary where great drivers in good cars can show their skills better.
Lewis Hamilton said, not wrote:it’s a track that really requires you to drive in an attacking way to be able to get a good lap time. It’s an uncompromising place. But that’s when the thrill of driving a Formula One car is at its highest; when you know you can’t afford a single mistake and where driving on the absolute limit is the only way to get the best time. In that sense, it’s a lot like Monaco
No, far from it : Japan is quite a big place ...raymondu999 wrote:I don't think Suzuka is close enough for that.
Im not sure about monaco. for qualifying thats true, but during the race, theres no overtaking. Vettel should have gotten wrecked this year on those tyres (weve seen so many overtakes because of the grip difference between new and worn tyres this year) but despite a rather epic strategic blunder, he won the race.raymondu999 wrote:One thing I think a lot of people neglect is that this circuit isn't just about downforce; it's also about the driver.
