Maybe their update addresses this, but there's no question Spa will be cold and most likely rain laiden so if Hammy / Button have any chance they gotta have resolved that major flaw. It will be interesting to see which teams can get heat in the tires in the cold...we all know Ferrari has no issue with that...but others?
Well that's the thing, the Macca doesn't suck in the cold – they won the coldest race this season. And similarly they don't suck hard in the damp/wet – Hamilton dominated the Wet session at Silverstone and the damp session at Hockenheim. What I will say is that they clearly have no consistent set up for all damp/wet conditions though.

dominated half the session in Silverstone.

It´s quick in every weather but has problems getting the tires clicked on sometimes and probably suffers from big wear/degradation issues in very hot conditions.

But overall over one lap it´s probably the quickest car out there no matter what conditions there is.
assuming the tires click.

Which is what I said – he dominated in the wet, he did not dominate in the damp at silverstone. Similarly at Hockenheim, he dominated in the damp, not the wet... Conclusion, McLaren's car works just fine in the wet/damp... They just need to hit the setup right.

I thought we were discussing his performance in the wet (you know, rain, puddles etc) and his ability to switch the tyres on in said wet conditions? From what I can see he hasn't done that great. Might be too early to call it a trend, but 3's a charm, as they say. If it's wet at Spa, we might find out :)
I'd love to have some of what you're smoking, quite frankly :? . I already said what needed to be said, try and take it into consideration.

Yea. I bet your right. I think Spa will be the start of Kimi's championship run in earnest. I think Lotus will frustrate all the runners trying to catch FA.

my dream is a mixed condition race with Schumacher and Kimi battling it out in the closing laps and Kimi -due to the drying up conditions on fresh(er) slicks will win it by a small margin..and the two will celebrate the battle in parc ferme and on the podium.

I can't believe people are still taking Mercedes seriously for any kind of success in the season. They are out of the game it's been couple of months already, and nobody accept their hard-core fans could associate well earned podium position with that team... #-o

who's il ? whats he going to give me ?

Lotus have looked awsome in the hot races, as everyone has been saying already. Spa is NOT going to be hot. It may be sunny but not hot. So i would say Lotus wont have an advantage like they did in Hungary & Bahrain. Even then they couldnt win

you had this season 7 races in normal or cold condition, only race in what they didnt be good was china (and it was because LOUSY strategy). maleysia was good, they didnt be worse then any other top team, only strategy call when make pitstops was again LOUSY, in china they were solid and good (it would be podium if tyers didnt cancel), hockenhaim was not hot, rain falled day before and they were at least fast like top team (only because they started from bad positions in qualy they didnt raced for podium), just because 3 hot races, dose not mean they will SUCK in normal conditions. lotus dose not need advantage of hot races for podiums or wins, they need only consistant weekend without not predictable weather (under this mean sunny free practice, rain in qualy, hot in race...)
