I was also wondering about this. I think it's to speed up airflow beneath the small beam wing, creating a lower pressure there so that it better aids the diffuser.

The mini beam wing along the bottom is a probably very plain version of what's coming.

underneath the driveshaft, on the left, there is like a silver hole down on the floor, even more cooling or something a bit more fancy?

The mirrors are integrated into vertical flow conditioners.
