has to be the smallest intake yet! Mercedes' one is pretty tiny already but this is rediculously tight

what's the issue with cooling all of a sudden? is the wider arrangement of the sidepods and the increased lenght
good enough to house more space between the parts so it has better cooling? if so, amazing.

very curious about the Mclaren now!

also, curious on Ferrari's stability, with their shorter car compared to the rest.

Ferrari coming up with the tiny wing in front of the actual rear wing. They connect it to the fin though, while Mercedes mounted it on a strake in absence of a fin. Seems this will become a feature on every car if two top 3 Teams Show it on Launch spec.

Wow, now that's more like it! Interesting to see they also have the T-wing, so the Merc solution is definitely for real.

The pictures so far do not have good resolution to pick out details, but I tried to magnify that anyway.
The actual inlets are smaller and there's another small vane inside.

im no aero guy, but seems they had a lot of focus on guiding air closer to the monocoque down and around the sidepods, to me it just looks like that air is already very disrupted from the frontsupension, no matter i hope it will be good, we need excitement in f1, and kudos for coming with a different soultion

i was right, there is indeed an inlet on the top there, you can see the vanes directing air there. very interesting.

i am REALLY curious to see the car in the pitbox with the covers off. this must house some complicated and smart

I dunno hey.
If I look at the top view, it seems to just be the gap between the vane and actual sidepod, and right at the end, the vane sort of overlaps the top part of the outer edge of the sidepod intake (lol...what a sentence... ).
Hope you understand what I tried to explain. haha

Then again. I don't know. Think one will need a more angled picture of that area. very clever design non the less
