Picture this in an F1 car, and tell me how this wouldn't boring. It would be very few corners that amount of anything, and mostly flat out.

Yes, that would be dull. An F1 car wouldn't go below 5th gear on that course. It'd be physically demanding but it would not be good to watch.

I like the Daytona idea...could not suck more than than MonteC and 4 or 5 others I could mention. Heck the Indy oval used to be on the calendar.

where can you pass other than the main straight with the current f1 cars? they are much wider and longer than the imsa cars

It's not replacing COTA, Domenicalli just said on Sky that they are going to schedule the Miami race so it doesn't clash with the COTA race.

I'd say any one of recent "covid" tracks is likely to go, so it'll be imola or portugal if they're still on the calendar next year.
