I think some of what makes Silverstone more recognisable on TV are the historic positions used for cameras, so everyone knows where the cars. Qatar is a new track so its hard to know the layout and where specifically they are on track.

This aside I don't think Qatar will make for spectacular racing with its lack of braking zones, lack of slow-speed, and narrow track width. 2021 was good but there were a lot of unusual factors in this race: height of a championship battle, out of position cars, strange strategy due to the tyre punctures and lots of unpredictability due to said punctures causing DNFs
Dirty air will be insane as well. The entire circuit is like a constant radius automobile test track. There's no breathing room for the tires and only 1 DRS zone. It's designed for bikes, not F1 cars.

Has it been mentioned that the teams will have to setup their cars during the day session even though the GP and qualifying will be night sessions? #-o

not to mention theyll need to setup cars for an entite weekend based off an hours running at a track they have no relevant data for under current regs

It is all still relative but it will show who has the simulator working nice

Also the surface isn't the same as when they ran in 2021

The AmuS preview says that the new tarmac has been artificially aged, so although different, the grip level should normally be pretty good. Not like in Turkey a couple of years ago (unfortunately :P)

The "artificial aging" was just a water blasting iirc.

This one will be a ringer. RedBull should be good as wellas Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren and Aston! Medium speed track.
