Redbull has disgusting traction. I think they will be strong all over.
That car picks up very early on turn exit.
It will be strongest in sectors 2 and 3, and maybe equal with ferrari in sector1.
For Sure!!

By disgusting do you mean, "ew, it's crap" or "they should be banned for being too good?"

If this is true it is not good news for McLaren who really need to work on balance and fine tuning upgrades. Dark Horse Kubinski, But my gut tells me it will be a straight fight between The RB's and the Scuds. Hamilton goes well at this track and may put together a great q3 run and stick it in the front two rows. However it may be at the risk of throwing away row three for row five. Quali should be very interesting! And if it’s wet for quali everyone will already be on high down force, but I think the usual suspects will be spinning Massa, Webber, and Mike.

BTW does anyone think McLaren will have the asymmetrical wing for this race?

Rain on Friday? That'll be 2 weekends in a row without meaningful testing. That will play into the hands of the current front runners (RB & Ferrari). Teams needing to catch up won't have much chance to try something new.

However, rain in the race can often be an equaliser and we know that some drivers barely notice the rain, while others appear to be competing for an ice skating medal.

@Tazio - interesting. Massa is quite known for not being too good in the wet... but why Webbo and Mike?

I was referring to quali, by all indications the race should be dry. In fact it's looking like sat may be dry as well

Mark, and Mike generally go well in wet races, but they are chasing teamates ahead of them and imo prone to push too hard! Mark's mistake in Germany really hurt him, and Mike has had a lot of moments this season although he does apear to be comming to grips!JMHO

Pedro, there is nothing representing the vertical axis of this graph. What is this graph showing?

Add to that they have mastered the blown diffuser as its design was integral to the car from when the car was first designed and can carry a bit more speed into the corners, I reckon they will have the upper hand.

Couple weather reports. Both a little bit different of course!

It will be an interesting to see how Massa will perform in this race due his accident last year. I expect he will be especially motivated to compete, but I hope he will be able to focus & block out the incident. I wonder if he has any memories of the accident itself besides seeing it on TV.

@GTO - I think the mistake meant was when Mark went too deep into Turn 1 in Qualy 3
