Lewis is doing very fine at the moment. Impressive longrun, upper 1.26 to really low 1.27 entering his 17th lap in this stint which he started with a 1.23,282, the days best.

Yes indeed. I was going to post the same It seems like they push the tyres for two laps to get temperature and then level the car out at 3 seconds slower laptimes. This approach looks good to me.

Showing the regular 5 sec time drop off... seems fairly consistent. We can atleast presume that they don't have any worse tyre degradation than the other teams. Then again... Merc is always better in the cold... it's in hot weather that their tyres are cooked.

I do think that was an idiosyncracy of the W03 though, not the team in particular. But let's see what happens.

If I recall correctly Brawn or Nico said the W04 is better on it's tyres in hot weather.
