Damn... two of the top drivers in it for the whole race... impressive.

And what happened to Ferrari? Damn.. is this the gap now when Mercedes and RedBull are really pushing?

Unlucky Bottas and again a underperforming Gasly.

Well done to McLaren! Again best of the rest.

Renault need to have a hard look at themselves...

Can we all just agree the Martin needs to stop doing these grid walks. He's terrible.

Channel 4 with David and Webber was waaaay better. They had more content, talked to more drivers had banter between each other when nothing was going on. Plus working in a duo they could line up the next interview easily.

They also didn't waste time talking to actors who didn't want to talk to them about films that don't exist.

What a race today, Reminded me of 1998 Hungary race when Schumacher was put on an extra stop to beat Mika and he deilvered qualy laps after qualy laps...... got a similar vibe from Lewis today!

Once again, GOOD JOB PIRELLI! Austria, Britain and now Hungary where we saw drivers can push the car and the tires hold up. Good step from FIA to reduce the complexity of front wing that is allowing cars to follow closer without drivers crying of understeer. Some more distance to go from further simplifying it.

Ferrari... wow. I know this race was always going to be challenging for them, but that was mediocre to say the least.

Need a new team mate for Hamilton and Verstappen and these three teams to be within a tenth of one another and all will be right with the world!
Do you not think competent team mates getting involved would destroy the champion to champion battle we ( I assume ) love?
I enjoy team v team battles but driver v driver is gladiatorial, even if they have a radio full of assistance. A team with two competitive drivers could sacrifice a win for a second and third.

Well, I enjoyed that fight for the win. If I look objectively though, I have to wonder: did it lead to us seeing less of the midfield, or was it relatively static behind the two outstanding drivers today?

I agree that Leclerc needs to relax. With his team still in the 'Vettel is no.1 when in doubt' and anyway with pace far enough from the top that only Gasly might give them the 2nd WCC spot, he should just concentrate on giving fault free weekends, even if he doesn't get poles and wins (though maybe Spa and Monza are exceptions?), and see Vettel go off to greener pastures at the latest next year.

It was another race where Lewis should be thankful that he is driving for Mercedes. That was a smart call by his team that gave him the win.
Max drove brilliantly today, I think he is still the driver of the day. Red Bull lacked pace compared to Mercedes on race trim.
It was a great fight by two great drivers in the end.
For WDC, I hoped for a miraculous fight between Ver and Ham but it looks over to me.
Also a shout for Carlos Sainz, drove great again getting 5th place.
Have a great summer break!

Agreed. Pirelli have had some stick for their tyres but, when they get them right, no one says "well done" (apart from you).

Euhm no, his racecraft failed to get him past Max again as he admitted on the radio (what else can we do) in a car that is clearly still the best of the field. He needed a superb strategy call from the team and then admittedly very good racepace fully unlocking the W10, to finally pass him with DRS on far better tyres.
It's a team sport and today the Mercedes team won. It's not all about the drivers.

Agreed, that is what I am saying. But some people here are acting like VER was ‘beaten’ by HAM in driving skill which was obviously not the case. It is quite hypocritical when we make fun of the strategy guys when they mess up but not give credit when they get the win. HAM and Merc acknowledged it was the strategy guys today with their post race comments and Vowles on the podium.
bottas has the same strat mate. You are underestimating what Hamilton did today.

Several users here (including me who criticised them very often in the last years) have given kudos to Pirelli after Silverstone and even before that.

I completely agree with you, but the inverse is also true. Apart from possibly Max, what other driver could have completed that strategy? It is a team from the cleaners to the driver, and Merc seem the best at the moment

Very good race from (almost) all involved. Lewis and Max pushed like devils. Mercedes (in the hands of Lewis) still the fastest car (even here) and they made the undercut (free of thread of Ferrari as they were so far behind). Bottas seemed out of his water at the start, leclerc overly agressive (again) but for the rest we saw committed battling and nobody going far over the line. No crashes, no SC.

As a Max fan I hope RBR can now make the gap even smaller. Lewis at least had to give it very much today, but he had that to give. Very tense. 4 great races in a row, keep em comming!

Bottas was stuck in traffic.

In the Ziggo interview Hamilton admitted they had a slightly quicker car than RB this weekend. Couple that with a great strategy call and you win.
True GOATs don’t need the help of superior material to win.

Tom Brady, Usain Bolt are true GOATs.
