McLaren MCL60

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Livery talk may not be allowed in this thread....
Is it not a physical aspect of the car? As far as I can tell that's a physical aspect
If we're talking Paint and the resulting surface, yes you could (maybe) argue that. If we're talking the color of the Car, then that is a clear no, as stated in the very first Post of this Topic btw  .

I moved the edited Picture to the Team Thread but i'm leaving the one of the Engine Cover here since there may be changes to the shapes that can be discussed.

Have the tunnel entrances always had that curvature? When was that introduced, it seems to have passed me by.

Edit: The pictures I have seen have the front wing on and it hides the fact that the tunnel entrance fences have a mild S shape.

Seems fairly good. Not too sure about whether the flow around the bulge/blister at the front of the floor is intended. Looks a bit more lossy to me

McLaren:
Front Corner:

Reason for change: Performance – flow conditioning

Difference: “New Front Brake Duct Vane and Winglet shape”

Description: “The altered shape of Front Brake Vane and Winglet results in an improvement of flow conditioning which leads to an overall aerodynamic load increase.”

Small update...

Is it just the angle of the photos or does McLaren have a bigger floor inlet than any other team in the field??
