They are obviously confident they found a sizeable chunk of time, but obviously not sure what time others found.

At least it suggests we won't be slow. and will be in the fight, even if others have found the same time, we will still be in the fight.

I think you're right, I'm sure the car is real, just not sure if there will be several upgrades arriving at testing replacing some "straw man" parts or whether this is going to be largely the car that finishes testing. It's not the Aero they're testing, not officially anyway, just making sure the car doesn't fall apart and that they don't get any errors in the systems and sensors.

I'm pretty sure its meant to be in the next 10 minutes.. It could be as I suggested earlier, they got the whole build up thing out of the way with the livery reveal, and it will just be a press release... although they were wheeling the car into mtc lobby so...unsure.

Logistically having a launch day and shakedown on same day is difficult due to media commitments, and splitting track time with Merc.. so I understand.

Apparently it will be a digital rendition of the 24 car, according to the stream.

So disappointingly we may not see the real car, hopefully this guy is not well informed.

I'm not one to usually believe the stories that teams are hiding things (or that it makes sense), but this does seem like they want to keep things hidden as long as possible?

Is that really necessary in this complex age where it's not easy to copy.
