Leclerc and Ferrari have steadied the ship massively in this second half of the year.
Wait for the strategy to unfold...

That new floor was really helpful for Leclerc. Must have allowed him to setup the car a bit more to his liking and it's showing, even in tracks where he has been relatively weaker in the past (for example this is the first time he has outqualified his teammate in Interlagos).

I'm still pissed off for Austin. He could have finished P3.

Why are people here intent on this Ferrari PU change? Have there been rumors about it from the team?
Duchessa talked about how Ferrari had to be very careful in COTA to manage the PUs especially on charles' side and that they considered taking penalties at Mexico. So if they consider it at Mexico I'm thinking they would also at Brazil, since you have a very high % laptime on full throttle las Vegas coming up. Abu Dhabi also power sensitive

Somewhere in my mind I remember Leclerc advancing to Q3 in a Sauber on a semi wet track. Wasn't that in Brazil as well?

Bad day for us but it was expected. The car is less competitive here and they didn't even use new tyres for the sprint quali.
I understand why they did it. They need to avoid using the hard tyres at all costs.

We have great straight line speed. Merc losing like 2-3 tenths in sector 3 alone. Hopefully we have setup the car for better race pace this time with so many laps in FP1.

With this amount of lift off (almost 400 meters per lap) is not surprising.

Wasn't keeping up with the weekend. Cooling issues?

Looks like there will be points to gain over Merc tomorrow. Lec P3 seems quite likely too

They were at least second fastest on Friday on pace, that went away quickly...
And they call it a stall. A STALL!
