I also only now realized this fact.
Big congratulations to GRaph! I think we never had such a dominant car, so it is quite an achievement.
And as far as I know, the prize this year is once more very cool. Not sure, if it has been announced yet.

If someone wanted to pre-check a part for legality, would emailing yourself by the best course of action?

..........asking for a friend.......
I think, at some point, we decided that such questions should be asked publicly here in the forum.
If my memory is wrong, we should do so from now on.

The prize will be a t-shirt (as similar as possible to F1 teams merchandising, but with MVRC sponsors and logos. Here in the forum I asked the teams to send me logos and official names so I can try to include them). As usual I am a bit late, but everything will be shipped before the first race of MVRC 2024.

By the way, as announced some weeks ago, the prize will be shipped to the challenge winner but also to the winner of the last race and it will be available at prodiction cost to everyone.

PS: it would be better to avoid the use of the words "F1", "Formula One" and "Formula 1" within the team name, because they all are registered trademarks.

Development this late is the year is hard! I'm missing about -0.3cl at the rear to catch up to the leaders and can't find it for love nor money.

Quick tangent to next year, what do people think about changing the regulation boxes to be more like the proposed 2026 renders that came out?

I think it would be a good idea, we could try to collect and discuss here any unofficial data about the new 2026 rule boxes.

Yes, it is finally out.
There is one setting that has a minor effect on the mesh.
And then there is something that will greatly reduce the memory usage during streamline generation.
Also, important to note is that the report now has its very own folder inside of the postProcessing folder.

I have also finally released the CFD images from the last race:

I absolutely love how varied the under floor approaches are. I'm looking forward to the final race. I have a feeling it's going to be an extremely tight field

Wow, after the side projections, we also have the top ones. We can now copy any car!
It looks like i'm not just running the most aggressive diffuser, but also the most aggressive bargeboards.
...which would explain my correlation issues.

Interestingly, GRaph and others seem to be doing a better job at outwashing front wheels wake.

And yes, big congratulations to GRaph for winning the championship! =D>
He managed to reach the potential of these cars since the first race, and inevitably dominated the championship.
Well, the actual potential should be higher, maybe CLA 7.0. But only achievable with some SERIOUS development.

Seems like it only exports the slices and wont export the streamlines, lambda2 etc. However same case will export fine on the previous version of mflow.

Great news on the partner Andre. Hopefully it takes some of the stress out of the races for you.

I'm looking forward to the final race, my current car would have finished somewhere on the podium for R04 but I won't specify which position 🤫

I really think we could see a massive mixup at the top this race with the likes of Busor also making big steps forward every race too

I've got an account but haven't got around to trying to run something yet. I had a quick look and didn't immediately know what I was doing but didn't want to waste cpu hours lmao

Hi guys,
I was pretty busy and a bit sick the last few days.

Anyway, I have updated MFlow and it now exports all images again, sorry about this one...

Also there are questions here and in the MFlow Q&A about how to use cloudHPC.
First of all, the Wordpress Plugin for the Q&A is either broken, or I just have no clue anymore how to answer questions...
It is very good to hear that you guys directly want to get started using cloudHPC.
However, so far I do not know how to use it myself!
Right now, MFlow exports the case in a way, which should make it runable on cloudHPC.
The ultimate test will happen during the next race. cloudHPC will conduct the simulations and I will assist if needed. After that MFlow should receive the updates needed to reliability run, as well as some kind of tutorial or documentation, so you guys can run on the platform soon. When MVRC runs work, it will get opened to other templates as well.
So, it is fantastic to hear your interest, but you will have to wait a little bit more to also be able to use it.

Time for some renders of the final car of the season. Firstly a massive thanks to everyone involved in running the competition again this year!

Honestly lost track of what has changed between rounds but as the R04 didn't run officially so I suppose it's an entirely new car in that respect.

Biggest changes are floor and sidepods, which are new front to back. Front and rear wings are evolutions of those run most of the season, it seemed anything I tried on either one of those just dumped masses of performance!

From R01 to now I've added about +50% to the Cl of the car which I'm obviously happy about. I've run 260 simulations of varying lengths and resolution this season.

My expectations for this package are:

1.55Cd, -5.6Cl, 1.91CoP and cooling slightly over the optimal. It was enough for P3 last race but I think others will pip me to the post in R05.

Thank you all for a brilliant season and I look forward to next year, whatever the regs might bring.
