No he had to add more wing angle because the wing was damaged in theclash with Perez. Isnt the post with the pictures above clear enough?

From a fellow forum member.

AMS post race report:
Sergio Perez had pushed Lewis Hamilton into the grass before the first corner, which left a few marks on the floor of the Mercedes. “We will only know what impact it had on the lap times after detailed data analysis and damage assessment. But probably not significant,” explained chief engineer Andrew Shovlin.

also Lewis drove over a big chunk of Sergio's front wing going through turn 12 on lap 1.

AMS report is a bit harsh with its analysis of Perez pushing Lewis. It was a combination of events that led to that. The way its written makes it sounds/read like Checo is solely to blame.

Gasly and Lewis on 2 stops versus 1 stop of teammate so that explains the big difference there.

Anyone know why hulk has 6 tenths over kmag?

Perez was completely stuck in traffic causing their pace to not be representative

He got Perez’d. Likely had some damage
Ah yes how did I forget

To be honest the only truly representative pace comparisons are McLaren and AMR I think?
Stroll only did half of the race and a lot of it with a shoddy rear wing. Not that anyone has any reason to expect it to be closer...

Maybe they meant where Checo sent him onto the exit kerb of T2?

That has a higher potential to damage the floor than a run through grass/soil.

There was no one else next to Perez, so it's on him alone (only cam to capture it apart from their onboards)

I actually thought the SC violation for Perez was actually due to this than the SC violation.

Did anybody in the forum attend the race this year? I'm thinking of going next year and wondering if anyone has any tips/recommendations etc?

Thanks

Perez was squeezed on the way down to T1 so that wasn't his fault specifically (although his poor start meant he was under attack so that bit is on him).

The exit of T2 was all down to him leaning on Hamilton who then had to take to the kerbs to avoid further contact.

Yes, that was a bit over the limit, the kind of stuff the usually let slide in the opening lap but clearly unfair.
