Ferrari 150° Italia

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I thought i might ask in this thread but does anyone remember Massas engine being tweaked differently in Singapore last year but since it wasn´t working they got rid of that idea.

Does anyone know what they might have been fiddling with? Just air/gas etc?

I thought they tried the engine map out in Q1 or something then scrapped the thing as it was causing problems.

Yea i think so to, his car stopped working so i guess that was the main reason for not using it.

If i remember correctly, didn´t the car sound differently aswell? More raw and not so fine tuned?

Deleted all the posts about the name. In case you missed them, the rad is the equivalent of "st, nd, rd, th". A page and half in the car thread is not required, and even frowned upon.

Interesting to note that the car appears to right at the top with performance despite not featuring any 'special' new things, like front blown diffuser through exhausts being forward, overly small back.
They appear to be focusing on good old mechanical layout and use of tyres, basic aero to extract best out of it, but no crazy features...

Hi, I can't find the thread about the team. I have something to say about the team, but not the car. Am I in the correct thread?
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

What my untrained eyes can se:
- New floor
- modified sidepods (more heat shielding, new exhausts?)
- New front wing endplates
- New rear wing (smaller adjustable flap)

Is that from the Vairano test? I heard they were using up a straightline test already

How is the front wing all that different with the exception being the endplates being slightly different.

Not all that different, but modified endplates and a modified upper element. You can also see that it has different sidepod openings.
