Guess who won't get the car right for the new tyres, just like in 2019...

Anyway it's clear they are trying to create a new 2021 by introducing few changes compared to 2024. They hope that RB will somehow --- up to have a competitive season.

Ferrari are already 3rd fastest car, if they'd struggle to adapt to these tires as they have in the last 5 years, I'd see them dropping to 5th fastest. What is wrong at this team, do they not understand the tire model and tire behavior or?

Few people remember this but in 2019 Ferrari tried to revert to the 2018 Pirelli spec. Of course, they lost the "battle" :D

I think the Team is currently lacking in every single area compared to RB, tyre modelling just one of them.

2019 is the season i "regret" the most. We had, for once, a significative advantage PU wise but the chassis/aero was absolutely terrible... Even with a decent chassis, we could have won.

I don't get the Ferrari bashing in this thread. I know there's plenty of reason to be frustrated but so much anger?

Anyway i noticed that Leclerc was very down after the early retirement, way more than other times.

Corriere (Italian journal) confirmed this.

Probably getting frustrated that whenever he does well there's always something from the team to bring him down, whether it's reliability, strategy or something else.

Maybe i'm exaggerating but i genuinely think that despite his love for Ferrari, 2024 is make or break for him. I can see a Ver-Lec or a Rus-Lec pairing happening, depending on if Mercedes improves.

According to Corriere Vasseur said to a small circle of people that the team is lacking a lot (as we said many times).

This is an improvement over Binotto who always said everything was perfect. Now we need to see the changes, though. For now nothing happened really.

To be honest, it isn't surprising that Vasseur hasn't potentially been able to recruit any one to join - Compared to all the other UK based teams, why would you up sticks and move to Italy? Massive risk to have to be involved in the 'Ferrari Way' of doing things. Not saying that there isn't any talent in Italy, far form it... but trying to recruit anyone from the outside is incredibly difficult. Not to mention that essentially any hire that any team makes from another needs 6-12 or more months of 'gardening leave' so any effect on their hiring will take even longer then.

Maybe someone like Mike Elliott who just departed Mercedes would be worth trying to get, but again... the above applies to this scenario too.

Sadder still, really cannot see Charles staying beyond 2024... unless there is a monumental improvement for the team next year, and I'm not talking about winning a championship... if anything, I see us as the 3rd-4th quickest team come the start of next year... maybe further if Aston make another step. Vasseur really has his work cut out for him, but I think it's a near impossible task at the moment...

I remember people saying it was a rocket engine strapped onto a midfield car.

Neither of those lineups make sense. Hamilton isn't going anywhere in the short-term and I seriously doubt Verstappen or Red Bull deems having a Leclerc in the second seat as necessary to reach their goals.

If he was really adamant about leaving, I could see him replacing Alonso, who I believe will leave after next year.

Regardless, the highest chances are that he stays, although a bad 2024 could put things in crisis.

Some rumors about the 2024 car:

- front push rod and rear pull rod will remain, but kinematics will be redesigned completely (highly inclined arms to favor front anti-dive and rear anti-squat)

- completely new chassis with a lower intrusion cone to create a deep undertray

- front part of the chassis will no longer have a square section, instead a keel to reduce frontal section, thus drag

- cockpit may move slightly backwards so that the sidepods are not affected by the turbulence from the front wheels, consequently shortening the transmission casing slightly

Yeah, pretty much. 1s slower per lap in Hungary in race trim... Car wasn't turning at all in medium/long radius corners sigh

Well in hindsight it would've been a championship marred in controversy had the chassis been decent
