Problems for Lotterer (7) now more than a minute down on Jani (18) on essentially the same strategy.

Porsche 17 has no hybrid power, now 8 laps down, still 5th at the moment.

He is doing decent laps though. Let's hope the front brakes last.

It does have hybrid power still because you can hear it on the onboards. You can hear it regenerating on braking as well however the car is clearly compromised.

I was just repeating what the radio told him, but yeah it still laps reasonably though clearly hampered.

17 has to classify, the question now is can it limp to the finish.

And it did, Webber-Hartley-Bernhard win the championship.
Only victory of the season for the 18 trio, well deserved.
Perfect season for Porsche.

Also podium for Wurz.

That was quite the roller coaster ride for all the teams
good to see the #18 win and not have to park their car to help out the #17
I'll have to have a beer to night to celebrate Porsche's championship titles in both LMP-1 and GTE-Pro

as for next years endurance racing, got a small taste of some of the new GT3 cars this week with IMSA testing at Daytona

It's hard to believe that's their only victory considering how blistering quick they've been at so many races, especially in the hand of Jani.

They deserved that, not only the victory but playing a fundamental part on the championship finale.
They had a lot of misfortunes on their side of the garage, and they had to wield too...

I couldn't help but laugh when I noticed what was in Webber's hand in that podium shot ;)
