But I don't think the pace today was about low engine modes. They just got it totally wrong and were idiots to think the ONLY thing that can happen is another pit stop from Vettel. Hamiltons tyres were probably good for another 15 laps and he should have used that life in going faster from about lap 40.
Maybe they thought it was an easy 1-2 (with Vet pitting again) and did not want Hamilton to be all over the back of Bottas at the end.
