Marko on 2025 seat from Kleine Zeitung @kleinezeitung
Albon is not a candidate for us, he has a contract until 2025 and Sainz probably wants to make a decision earlier than we do.”

“Checo must perform consistently. It is clear that he cannot always drive at Verstappen level. If he finishes second in the Driver’s Championship and gets one or two victories, he will certainly be a candidate for 2025.

The seat - next to Verstappen - is, on the one hand, very coveted, but on the other, it is an ejectable seat, since no teammate can live up to Max, and it can quickly become demoralising.”

There was a high speed drone following the RB20 in Silverstone.

In it, there are more clear shots of the car's configuration from Silverstone. This may be of interest.

You can already see that they tested the shoulder coolers in Silverstone.

We've always seen drivers catch oversteer from onboards and from outside, but never from above. In some of those corners those snaps and moments look so impressive from this birds eye view. :D Great video.

Not sure that it's motivating for other drivers to hear that the 2nd seat is "ejectable", but that's classic Marko. Going into 2024 i think Red Bull is in a very weird position... they want to replace Pérez but Norris has rejected them, which leaves Ricciardo as the 2nd option but there's a chance Tsunoda beats him and in turn doesn't justify Ricciardo for the 2nd seat, and they probably don't want Tsunoda. I take it Albon and Sainz are out of the equation as well.

This year i think a underperfoming Perez could throw the constructors away, but that's a topic for another thread.
"Hello, Helmut speaking"

"Hello, it's Fernando Alonso here....." 🤣
If I come across as blunt, I apologise, it's my ASD. Sometimes, like an F1 car aqua-planing, it gets out of my control.

Affer race 7.

On the F1Nation podcast Will Buxton mentioned that he told Newey their car looked great and Newey simply said "Wait till after race 7, it will look completely different.".

Think about it... if the upgrades after race 7 are a HUGE step forward, then they can simply start focusing on 2026 from then. Don't even need to worry about 2025.

Well it was confirmed by waché they bringing packages at firstly Japan (round 4) and Imola (round 7) so I can believe that it will look completely different after these two. Considering the amount of development this year that's expected.

And it was also mentioned that they already started working on the 2025 car, presumably to be ready from Jan 1 2025 to spend as much time as possible on the 2026 car.

Worth mentioning just for accuracy that it was Tom Clarkson, not Will Buxton. For some reason it's so easy to mix those two up.

Officially speaking, the teams can't work on 2026 cars until 2025.

Yeah but all teams are already working on 2025 because from jan 1 2025 they can work on 2026 and they will.

I work in software development cycles. Twice yearly. It is amazing how easily the time slips away. Every team will need all time they can free up.

I think its the RB16 or 16B based on the mirror housing and the halo winglet.
