That’s what the paper is counting on.. people who want to believe it’s true so bad they’ve concocted all sorts of reasons they can’t be physically shown the evidence including that old classic “it’s for their own personal safety”

It is alleged by De Telegraaf that Horner's lawyers tried to settle the case with a payment of £650,000 GBP, with senior Red Bull GmbH management aware of the situation.

The shares of Red Bull GmbH are split 51-49% between Thai owner Chalerm Yoovidhya and Mark Mateschitz, the son of the late Dietrich Mateschitz, with Red Bull head of sports Oliver Mintzlaff also aware of the investigation.

It has been reported that Horner retains the backing of Yoovidhya, who is the major shareholder, but it is understood that Horner does not explicitly enjoy Yoovidhya's backing, with the businessman believed to be ambivalent towards the situation.

Well at least one person is pushing for exactly that ( trial by(social) media). Details that only few know about(settlement offer) are leaked to the press.

Not saying Horner is not an @$$, but there is definitely politics going on. Either he was protected, and the victim saw no other means to get justice than going public, or someone wants to get rid of him and the victim has her case being abused for that.
