Aston Martin AMR24

Both Alonso and Stroll ran the upgrades in FP2.

If these upgrades don't work, I have a feeling that Krack and/or Fallows are getting the axe from Lawrence... So frustrating watching this team put on new bits all the time with minimal gains...
This should be in the team thread.

More comparisons. He missed a few changes we posted earlier like the inner floor fence and the mirror supports

running flow viz when they did not bring any updates for spa and this weekend

Flow vis has only one purpose. They're must be something they want to verify.

Also interesting there's aero rakes behind the front for tomorrow when there hasn't been any new changes since Hungary, where they ran aero rakes if I'm not mistaken... Can someone more knowledgeable explain why would they do this?

Maybe there will be a new low down force front wing and they will only show it today?

On the other side they also ran flow-viz in Zandvoort, without having updates. Normally that's not a good sign and they try to understand something which they didn't so far...

In an attempt to climb the standings and, above all, find answers to the problems encountered during the year and direct development especially with a view to 2025, Aston Martin will use the free practice sessions as a sort of test session. Yesterday, in fact, the technicians had already mounted the rakes for aerodynamic measurements on Alonso's car, not only to collect data on the low-downforce wings designed for Monza, but above all to understand something more about the car's behavior.

“On paper maybe Monza is not the best circuit for us, but we still have to do our best. We will try different things also in FP1, not specifically for Monza, but also long-term projects for the team and understanding the car. So the weekend is still very useful. Then, obviously, in qualifying and the race we will do our best,” Alonso said.
